3 cups broccoli, cut in bite-sized pieces
2 cups cauliflower, cut in bite-sized pieces
½ cup water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, minced or grated
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, lightly toasted
Heat the water in a large skillet on medium-high heat.
Add broccoli and cauliflower, cover and steam.
Once water evaporates and vegetables are a bit more than half-cooked, reduce heat to medium.
Add olive oil, garlic, ginger, red pepper, black pepper and salt.
Cook, uncovered, until lightly browned and tender, about 2-3 minutes.
Toss with sesame seeds and serve.
