  • 1/2 teaspoon salt kosher or sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/3 cup butter or olive oil, plus 1 T for cooking apples
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup walnuts coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Servings: scones

  5. Remove from oven, cool on wire rack.
Recipe Notes

** - if using gluten-free flour, we suggest the brand Bobs Red Mill 1 to 1 gluten-free flour, and increase the time 4-7 minutes.
