Farina with Apples and Pecans
Servings: 2 servings
- 2 cups milk
- 2 pinches salt
- 1/3 cup farina (Cream of Wheat)
- 2 teaspoons real maple syrup
- 1/2 cup sweet, crisp red apples chopped
- 2 tablespoons toasted pecans chopped
- Bring the milk and salt to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Whisk in the farina. Reduce heat and simmer, whisking occasionally, until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Portion into bowls and top with real maple syrup, dried fruit and pecans.
