Farina with Apples and Pecans

Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 1/3 cup farina (Cream of Wheat)
  • 2 teaspoons real maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup sweet, crisp red apples chopped
  • 2 tablespoons toasted pecans chopped

Instructions

  • Bring the milk and salt to a boil in a small saucepan.
  • Whisk in the farina. Reduce heat and simmer, whisking occasionally, until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Portion into bowls and top with real maple syrup, dried fruit and pecans.
