Employee pot lucks are a great idea, especially when people are able to take the time to prepare something from scratch. I've often heard that pot lucks have a bad rap because the food tends to be highly processed and unhealthy. That doesn't have to be the case at all if people make a conscious effort to make cooking and food a focal point, rather than an inconvenience and formality. Having a 5 mo+ old baby now, I can say with certainty that being sick is inconvenient. Cooking for my family so we can feel energized and get things done and not be sick, is not.
