3-4 delicata squash (2 – 2 1/2 pounds total)
1/4 cup chopped walnuts, 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons maple syrup or brown sugar
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil, 2 tablespoons olive oil and 2 tablespoons honey
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a sheet pan with foil or parchment paper.
Wash squash thoroughly; slice in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
Place squash halves face down on sheet pan and bake for 20-35 minutes or until fork tender.
Remove from oven and garnish with optional toppings.
Slice halves into smaller portions for serving.
