Ingredients
  • 1 15-ounce can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup frozen cherries chopped (They are easier to chop when frozen.)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease an 8x8 baking pan.
  3. Combine all remaining ingredients except cherries and chocolate chips in a blender or food processor; blend until very smooth.
  4. Stir chocolate chips and cherries into brownie mix; batter will be thick.
  5. Pour into pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until they begin to pull away from edge of pan. The toothpick test will not work because they are so fudgy.
  6. Cool for 10-15 minutes before cutting.
