Prep Ahead for Smoothies (with recipes)

Summertime, for that matter any time of the year, is great for grab-and-go smoothies, a nutritious way to start the day. During the summer, you can save money by using in-season, flavorful produce. Plan ahead to have cut fruit and vegetables ready for blending. Take a few extra minutes, during meal prep or batch cooking, to chop and divide fruit and vegetables into individual bags and store in the freezer or refrigerator.
When it is smoothie time, take out the pre-cut produce, and simply start blending. Try our Strawberry Banana Smoothie  or, if you are a little more adventurous, try our Sparkling Berry Smoothie. Chef Marshall showcased this recipe during an entertaining tv segment on the Jason show.

Also try our Orange Citrus Smoothie, Banana Chocolate Flax Smoothie,  and our Mood Boosting Smoothie.
