To satiate sweet-craving kiddos, ditch the sugary, processed candy and serve nature’s candy as a healthy alternative, like these frozen banana pops.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
2 Bananas
¼ C semi-sweet chocolate bar, shaved
Pinches cinnamon ground, sprinkles as desired
¼ C walnuts, crushed
Honey, drizzled as desired
Utensils/items needed
4 Popsicle sticks
Dish/container with cover, small enough to fit in freezer
Directions
Peel and halve bananas (horizontally, not lenghwise) and insert a popsicle stick into the banana, creating a banana on a stick. Place on shallow dish (must be small enough to fit in freezer) spaced out enough not to touch other banana pieces, cover, and put in freezer over night or until frozen.
Chop chocolate into small pieces and place on small dish. Chop/crush walnuts and place on small dish.
Take banana and drizzle honey, then roll in walnuts and chocolate and sprinkle a little cinnamon. Serve.
