Farina with Apples and Pecans

Serves 2

2 cups milk
2 pinches salt
1/3 cup farina (Cream of Wheat)
2 teaspoons real maple syrup
1/2 cup sweet, crisp red apples, chopped
2 tablespoons toasted pecans, chopped

Bring the milk and salt to a boil in a small saucepan. 
Whisk in the farina. Reduce heat and simmer, whisking occasionally, until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.
Portion into bowls and top with real maple syrup, dried fruit and pecans.
